ABOUT NATHAN

In high school, I used a VHS-C camcorder and a couple VCRs to experiment with filmmaking. 15 years later, this passion of mine has quickly matured into a full time career.

After graduating from SCAD with a BFA in Film & Television Production, I moved to New York City seeking a career. I worked in post-production facilities, assisted Jeff Turick(DP), and befriended many talented people who pushed me further.

My professional work as Director Of Photography began with a sketch comedy web series for Ariana Siegel and Emma Tattenbaum-Fine, who later brought me to shoot bi-coastal content for DIGS channel. With my wife, Melyssa Vazquez, I founded a company named Shoebox Story Productions, LLC, which has helped us produce music videos, advertisements, and web content for the past five years. I've also shot many films, including "Funerals And Felonies" by Joe Mercurio, "IMPASSE" directed by Michael Bekemeyer, and "No Land" by Robert Gregson.

It's the blending of tech and art that has always compelled me in my field. Cinematography is crafted upon the visual interpretation of emotions. It's the molding of light, and shadow, taking what was once a dream and making it a tangible image. I'll never find a more satisfying craft.
